Since it’s the first day of fall, it seemed like a good time to share. 🙂
We are so thankful that our parents help us out when it comes to buying clothes for Oliver. Kids clothes can be expensive, especially when they outgrow them so quickly! I think we can still count the number of clothes we have had to buy for him brand new on one hand. It’s fun to pick out some of his clothes, which is one of the reasons we spend so much time at thrift stores. I haven’t had as much luck finding him the cute vintage outfits that I did when he was a baby but these toddler clothes are pretty cute too!
We visit our Goodwill store at least once a week and try to make it to at least a couple Thursdays a month for their Toddler Thursday sale (50% off kids clothes & toys). The trick to finding good deals (and the cutest clothes) is to shop often and start early!
I always like shopping for the off season because it gives me time to pick and choose what I like and then I know what I need to buy once the fall clothes hit the stores. Below are a few photos of what we found for this year.
We even managed to sneak in a few toys. He found a set of tools that look just like Shawn’s to help with projects around the house. The other toy on his wishlist was a small tractor. After riding on Grandpa’s riding lawnmower and seeing tractors at the state fair and apple orchard, he was excited to find a little one that he could carry around. 🙂
The last items are for his toddler room. Since we are going with a camping theme, this midcentury lamp and marshmallows tin are perfect! I can’t wait to share how the room comes together – just in time for his second birthday this fall.
Total spent: $26.41
